MWeb, launched in 2015, is a comprehensive writing, note-taking, and publishing app that focuses on Markdown. If you have an affinity for Markdown or text writing, we highly recommend giving MWeb a try.

MWeb consists of four modules: a complete and stable editor, a Folders mode for managing documents, a Library mode specifically designed for notes, and a document publishing and sharing function set. Editor Features

Here are some of the key features of MWeb's editor:

• Displays the text of the Markdown document in its entirety without any omissions.
• Directly displays images in the Editor, supporting various formats such as jpg, png, gif, webP, HEIC, etc.
• Preview math formulas, mermaid diagrams, and Echarts drawings within the editor.
• Customize your writing experience by setting your favorite font or multiple fonts.
• Choose from 11 light themes and 21 dark themes or even create custom themes.
• Includes a menu to facilitate the input of Markdown syntax and provides a special Markdown syntax keyboard in iOS.
• Conveniently generate and format Markdown table syntax with dedicated tools.
• View the outline and word count of Markdown documents.
• Markdown documents can be previewed and support both Editor and Preview modes.

Folders Mode

The core functionality of MWeb's Folders mode is to create and edit Markdown documents. It offers the following features:

• Create or open Markdown or Textbundle documents for editing.
• Import a folder with Markdown documents into MWeb's Folders mode, which enables practical functions such as document management, full-text search, image copy and paste, and unified storage of referenced images.
• The iPadOS/iOS version supports Dropbox folders.

Library Mode

While Markdown is ideal for taking notes, MWeb introduces a separate Library mode to cater to note-taking needs. The Library mode offers the following features:

• Create notes without worrying about file names, titles, or storage locations.
• Use category trees and tags to manage your notes, allowing you to classify a single note into multiple categories for easier organization.
• Easily organize notes by moving categories and renaming them without affecting other notes or causing incorrect associations between notes.
• Complete cross-device synchronization using iCloud CloudKit technology.
• The Library follows the "local first" principle and is stored in a folder, making it easy to back up even when using iCloud sync.
• Export an entire category of notes to PDF or Epub e-book formats.
• MWeb Pro for macOS supports generating static blogs from categories, enabling you to create your own blog effortlessly. The generated blog fully supports math formulas, mermaid diagrams, Echarts, and more.

Additional Features

• Publish documents or notes to platforms such as Wordpress, Metaweblog API, Evernote, Blogger, Tumblr, Yuque, sspai Matrix, Ghost, and Medium.
• Upload images within documents or notes to services like imgur, Qiniu, SM.MS, Tencent COS, Youpai, Alibaba OSS, or custom APIs.
• Export documents or notes to PDF (including Table of Contents in the macOS version), Epub, or image formats.
